Topless Driving
No - I don't mean ladies showing off a little bit - that's not a problem in St. Maarten anyway... I'm more wondering about the habit of many male visitors to drive their rental cars without shirt - rubbing their sweaty backs on the textile seats. I myself are getting reluctant to rent a car now - its like checking into a hotel, where the sheets are not being changed after each guest. What are the readers' thoughts on this? Am I too uptight?

God...this was funny and I can totally relate. Sweaty backs on the car seat makes for an uninviting car ride. I'm interested in making a trip to St Maarten, so I think I will be reading this more often
Absolutely not, you are right on point as far as being concerned. Sweat glands are body fluids, thus can transmit viruses, bacterial and fungal infections, and who knows what else. As a point of habit, I take anti-bacterial wipes with me to clean computer keyboards, wooden seats etc. In addition, unclean sheets that are not changed in between guests can also cause skin irritations, fungi and who knows what else.
what about people who fart on the seats, if sweaty backs are a problem, this could be a major set back to the tourist industry on st maarten. i suggest you take vacations in the colder climates then you would not have to worry about sweat, just frozen arses and balls, get a life you freak!
